1st day

Arrive in Ulaanbaatar – sightseeing – welcome dinner

On arrival you will be transferred to a 3-star hotel. The rest of the day is at your leisure. Welcome dinner in Ikh Khurildai Restaurant. Overnight in hotel. (Hotel, L, D)

2^nd day

Fly to Moron – fishing in Alag Tseel River, Darkhat Valley

Internal flight to Moron, the center of Khovsgol aimag, from where we will drive to Alag Tseel in the Darkhat Valley. We will set up the camp while you fish.(Camping, B, L, D)

3^rd day

Fishing in Alag Tseel River, Darkhat Valley

We will spend a day fishing the river, surrounded by impressive snowy peaks. Spanning 4000m, this valley is a paradise for bird watchers because of the number of lakes (more than 300). The abundance of birds: ducks; geese; swans; cranes; curlews; heron; snipe; and many other birds will increase your pleasure while you fish there. This small and slow flowing river is also rich in graylings, lenoks, as well as surprisingly large taimen. It is ideally suited for fly-fishing, and the views are incredible. We will camp here tonight as well. (Camping, B, L, D)

4^th day

Shishkid River – fishing. We will leave in the early morning for the northern part of this journey, where there are two splendid rivers to be discovered. We will be following the Shishkid River. We will camp for the night on the Shishkid’s banks, from which we can fish for the rest of the day.

The Shishid River is one of the most beautiful angling grounds of Mongolia. It flows through mountainous woodland and forms numerous islets. Its waters are the home of abundant lenok, grayling and trophy-sized taimen. (Camping, B, L, D)

5^th day

Today, we will reach the confluence of the Shishkid and Tengis rivers. We will base our camp next to a good fishing spot.

The Tengis River is a splendid rock-studded mountain river, where lenok, grayling and, in the lower section, surprisingly large taimen are plentiful. It is ideally suited for fly-fishing. (Camping, B, L, D)

6^th, 7^th, 8^th day

3 days fishing in the Tengis River

We will take three days to enjoy the tranquillity of fishing the lower stages of the Tengis River. (Camping, B, L, D)

9^th, 10^th day

2 days fishing in the Shishkid River

We will spend two peaceful days fishing in the Shishkit River. (Camping, B, L, D)

11^th day

Return to Alag Tseel for a day’s fishing

Today we return to Tsagaan Nuur. We will drive back to the original river we visited, Alag Tseel, where we will fish for the day, and camp for the night. (Camping, B, L, D)

12^th day

Delgermoron River

Leaving in the early morning, we will drive (9 hours) to the Delgermoron River, where we will camp in a picturesque spot on its bank, close to Moron. (Camping, B, L, D)

13^th day

Return flight to Ulaanbaatar. Our flight for Ulaanbaatar leaves in the afternoon. On arrival, you will be transferred to your 3 star hotel, where you will stay for the night. (Hotel, B, L, D)

14^th day

Sightseeing in Ulaanbaatar – cultural evening and dinner

Today is free for you to explore Ulaanbaatar and to buy souvenirs.

Dinner in an excellent restaurant

Return to your hotel for overnight. (Hotel, B, D)

15^th day

Transfer to the airport and departure for your next destination or extended journey in Mongolia.
